Q.I.T.E. do?
Q.I.T.E.
[short for] Quality Innovation Training and Employment
is a Not for Profit, Public Benevolent Institution with
Deductable Gift Recipient Status. We offer a range of
services and programs. We support employers, jobseekers
and those wishing to undertake our training. Activities
include Employment Services, Labour Hire and Recruitment
Services, Harvest Labour placement, Work Experience and
Work for the Dole programs. Q.I.T.E. operates a number
of social enterprises such as QT’s Early Learning
Centre, Timber Creations and a Passenger Transport
Service.

Job Placement
As the community’s largest employment
provider, we have a database of potential candidates and
networks to match. We offer a free-of-charge service for
potential employers to advertise and locate suitable
employees for their business and provide incentives to
employers to employ local people. Q.I.T.E.'s Job
Placement Service assesses the match between the
jobseekers skills & qualifications and desire to work in
that industry against available jobs and the specific
needs of employers. Partnering with our clients, we aim
to place the right person into the right job.

Harvest
Labour Services
Harvest Labour
Services [HLS] is designed to meet the
labour requirements of local growers by
recruiting and placing workers into harvest
jobs and mobilising job seekers locally or
from locations outside of harvest areas as
required. Under the HLS system, workers
include anyone that is legally entitled to
work in Australia (e.g., working holiday
visa holders). |

Q.I.T.E. Transport Services
Q.I.T.E. Passenger Transport Services is a
dedicated fee for service providing
transport from Q.I.T.E.'s offices to
employees’ workplaces if they do not own
their own vehicle. In a community with
limited public transport especially to
remote farms, this service provides benefits
to local employers and employees alike. |

Hosting Work Experience
At Q.I.T.E., we help many jobseekers who come to us
looking for meaningful employment each day. Our mission
in all that we do is " To assist people gain, retain or
enhance their position in the workforce and their
lives".

At Q.I.T.E. we coordinate
a range of activities to assist to gain new skills and
become ready for work.
These activities include;

receive individualised, professional support. We ensure
participants are matched to activities which align with
their interests and employment goals. In addition,
Q.I.T.E. also prepares people for Work Experience with
an induction course covering OH&S and their
responsibilities while on-the-job. Our aim is to be
there to help guide and develop activities to be truly
meaningful for all stakeholders.
Who will you be helping
out?
The people involved in
these activities are generally those in receipt of
Centrelink income benefits. They're usually aged between
18-50 and are required to participate in eligible
activities each year. By undertaking an activity,
participants develop their ability to work as part of a
team, build self esteem, take directions from a
supervisor, communicate effectively and work
independently.

Care Centre was opened in September 2009 and provides
quality day care services for up to 70 children per day
(from birth to 5 years).

Timber Creations
Q.I.T.E.
Timber Creations builds quality timber furniture
handcrafted by local individuals developing their skills
and improving their employability.
They benefit from the skills, knowledge
and experience of a Licensed BSA Nominee Supervisor who
provides on-the-job training. Whilst their timber
furniture is sold to the public they also have a strong
reputation for quality kitchen renovations and cabinet
making.
